WHO ARE WE ?
BLACKMOON : ATELIER 11
A conceptual design and creative atelier driven by a passion for chaotic art and purposeful problem-solving.
At BLACKMOON: Atelier 11, we embrace complexity as a catalyst for innovation. We approach every design challenge with meticulous attention to detail, an intuitive understanding of the human body, and a deep awareness of how movement, form, and space interact within any environment.
Our collective of passionate designers, artists, and creative thinkers is dedicated to transforming bold ideas into meaningful experiences. By merging conceptual exploration with technical precision, we create work that is both expressive and functional.
Whether developing a product, crafting immersive visual narratives, or shaping environments that inspire connection and curiosity, BLACKMOON: Atelier 11 is committed to creating design solutions that resonate long after the experience itself.
We invite you to join us in exploring the unexpected—where creativity thrives in chaos, boundaries dissolve, and every project becomes an opportunity to redefine what design can be.
The name BLACKMOON represents a commitment to creativity, exploration, and embracing the unknown
WHO IS BLACKMOON?
I am a self-taught multidisciplinary artist driven by a lifelong fascination with garment construction, conceptual thinking, and practical design. From an early age, I committed myself to learning through relentless curiosity—studying books, technical manuals, workshops, archival references, and digital platforms, while closely observing the work of artists, designers, and makers whose practice continues to inspire me. This ongoing pursuit of knowledge ultimately became the foundation of BLACKMOON: Atelier 11, a conceptual design atelier officially established in 2022 after three years of research, experimentation, and vision-building.
The creation of Atelier 11 has connected me with a diverse community of emerging artists from my city and beyond. These collaborations and exchanges continually challenge me to think more critically, expand my creative language, and push the boundaries of both design and artistic expression.
My practice draws inspiration from a broad spectrum of influences: Afro-descendant interpretations of punk culture, architecture, cinema, everyday human experiences, and the principles of deconstructivism. At Atelier 11, our philosophy is “deconstructed construction“—an exploration of the tension between precision and disorder, where meticulous craftsmanship reveals the beauty of controlled chaos.
More than anything, it is the world around me that informs my work. I remain deeply aware of the environmental and social challenges shaping our time, and I recognize the fashion industry’s responsibility within many of these systems. In response, Atelier 11 embraces a slower, more intentional approach to creation. Like a wave gradually finding its way to the shore, every project is allowed the time it needs to evolve with purpose. We believe in producing fewer pieces—objects that exist not merely as garments or products, but as enduring works of art.
As both an artist and a lifelong student, I continue to approach the future with curiosity and conviction. Through BLACKMOON: Atelier 11, I aspire to build an ever-evolving body of work that reflects our values, celebrates experimentation, and invites new ways of thinking about design. With each project, we move closer to a larger vision—one shaped by collaboration, innovation, and the limitless possibilities of creative exploration.
